  • WiFi 5 GHz
    Wi-Fi based on the 5 GHz band operates on a less polluted frequency band, ideal for data transmission with maximum speeds.
  • WiFi 2,4 GHz
    Wireless network based on the 2,4 GHz frequency band for maximized compatibility with existing Wi-Fi infrastructures.
  • Bluetooth
    Wireless keyboards and mouse combinations as well as game controllers can be connected via bluetooth.
  • Smartphone
    [re:frame] can be controlled by a common iOS or Android smartphone. The necessary apps can be freely downloaded via the Apple App-Store or the Google Play-Store respectively.
  • Infrared
    [re:frame] can be equipped with an infrared receiver. This provides the possibility to control [re:frame] with a common remote control. The advantage clearly lies in the provided haptic feedback of the physical buttons.

    [re:frame] model B with multitouch displays for intuitive operation.
Interfaces & Expansion
  • USB
    USB 2.0 or 3.0 ports can be used to connect external devices such as usb flash drives for data exchange or direct playback of stored data.
  • LAN
    Cable bound networking allows the integration in existing network infrastructures.
  • HDMI
    [re:frame] model A is equipped with a HDMI interface for the cable bound, digital transmission of video signals from external devices.
  • DVD
    Nearly invisible integrated DVD drive without a tray which can be used for CD and DVD playback.
  • 3.5 mm Audio Jack
    [re:frame] can be integrated into existing audio installations by connecting it via a 3.5 mm jack. Moreover this allows for connecting most commercially available headphones.
  • Cinch
    External speaker installations can be connected to [re:frame] with cinch cables. Digital S/PDIF audio transmission will be available in the future as well.
  • Speaker
    A stereo speaker, mounted on the backside of the frame extend [re:frame] to a full featured multimedia experience. This allows [re:frame] to be used independently without external sound systems and provides maximum flexibility for deployment.
  • Speed
    Different processors deliver the performance for every application. Current [re:frame] models will be delivered with ARM or x86 processors.
